What are the limits of freedom of expression in an increasingly digital society, without crossing the line into hate speech? How is this boundary defined, and in what ways does Criminal Law address the issue?
These are some of the questions that José Maria Formosinho Sanchez, associated partner, will explore in a session entitled “Criminal Expression: Hate Speech in Criminal Law”, taking place on 9 April at the Abreu Advogados Auditorium.
The event, which is already fully booked, is held in partnership with NOVA CLSS (Criminal Law Students Society), and will run from 4pm to 6pm.
