Fernando Veiga Gomes appointed Chair of SIGA’s Ethics Committee – Sport Integrity Global Alliance
Fernando Veiga Gomes, Head of Sports Law at Abreu Advogados, has been appointed Chair of SIGA’s Ethics Committee – Sport Integrity Global Alliance, an international organisation dedicated to promoting the highest standards of integrity, transparency and good governance in sport.
With this appointment, Fernando Veiga Gomes takes on the leadership of a body that plays a central role in safeguarding the ethical and integrity principles that guide SIGA’s activities, at a time when good governance, accountability and the credibility of sports institutions are assuming growing importance on the international stage.
“I take on this appointment as Chair of SIGA’s Ethics Committee with great honour and a deep sense of responsibility. Promoting integrity, ethics and good governance in sport is now an essential imperative, and it is a privilege to be able to contribute, through this role, to strengthening these principles on a global scale,” says the new Chair.
