Alexandre Miguel Mestre appointed to the Committee of the International Swimming Federation
The World Aquatics/FINA (International Swimming Federation) Extraordinary Congress, held on December 12, in Melbourne, Australia, unanimously approved the inclusion of Alexandre Miguel Mestre, Of Counsel at Abreu Advogados, as one of the FINA Adjudicatory Body members, for a 4-year mandate.
At the Extraordinary Congress in Melbourne, the new member of the Integrity Unit of the World Aquatic replaced a Spanish element, and is a “reinforcement” of weight for the mother-organization of water sports chaired by Husain Al Musallam, which has as one of the vice-presidents the president of LEN and FPN António Silva.
The area of Integrity has been one of the flagships of the president of World Aquatics and central point of several of the reforms that are being carried out, and there is expectation about the work of the new national member.
