Ricardo Branco is an Of Counsel and has been at Abreu Advogados since 2015 working primarily in the areas of Public and Environmental Law, specifically in applied Constitutional Law General Administrative Law, Administrative Disputes and Waste and Energy law.

He drafts benchmark opinions in these areas and aides in the drafting of legislation and regulations as well as representing clients before administrative and constitutional courts where his experience as a Constitutional Law Professor and Public Law (since 2002) is particularly valuable.

He also has extensive experience in aiding on the creation of legal and regulatory instruments for governments in many Portuguese Speaking African Countries.

Prior to joining Abreu Advogados, he provided legal advice in areas of the legislative process of Constitutional Law in general and to successive Secretaries of State in the Council of Ministers as well as to the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education and to the Deputy-Minister of Regional Development of different Portuguese Administrations.
