Mariana Duarte

Mariana Duarte is an associated partner and has been at Abreu Advogados since 2013. With over a decade of experience at the firm, her practice focuses on litigation, with a particular emphasis on pre-litigation and litigation relating to inheritance, contractual and non-contractual civil liability, and corporate matters.

She represents clients in a wide range of legal proceedings, including declaratory actions, interim relief proceedings, proceedings for the recognition of foreign judgments, probate proceedings and proceedings concerning parental responsibilities, as well as in domestic and international arbitration proceedings.

She frequently handles pre-litigation and complex, multi-jurisdictional disputes across various sectors, including inheritance, telecommunications, software, construction, aviation, corporate and property disputes.

She provides support in proceedings conducted across multiple international jurisdictions, notably in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany and Angola, and has extensive experience in coordinating with foreign legal teams to ensure that international clients receive cohesive, high-quality representation, regardless of the complexity or geographical scope of the dispute.
