Ana Sofia Batista is a Partner whose practice focuses on Corporate and M&A in Portugal. She works primarily on business restructuring operations and acquisitions, as they relate to corporate structures, contracts and financing.

Her practice focuses particularly on matters related to acquisitions, mergers, spin-offs, liquidity inflows or share swaps, and specifically Corporate and M&A in Portugal, private equity transactions and project finance transactions.

As co-coordinator of the Mozambique Desk, she has been heavily involved in investment operations in that country, providing legal advice and liaising with local lawyers within Abreu Advogados’ international network.

She has extensive experience in advising on transactions is the health, transport, food and finance sectors, as well as on corporate housekeeping for national and multinational companies in various sectors of the economy.

She has also lectured in areas connected with corporate and finance law in universities, professional organizations and seminars.

Ana Sofia Batista was Chair of the Legal and Regulatory Committee of Invest Europe, the European venture capital association that represents companies from the private equity, venture capital and infrastructure investment sectors in Europe and their investors, for the 2023-2024 term.
