António Pina

António Pina is a non-executive member of the Board of Directors of Abreu Advogados.

Partner since 2016, works mainly in the areas of M&A, Corporate and Finance Law.

He has focused on mergers and acquisitions operations, debt restructuring and corporate reorganization, having been involved in the main projects and transactions Abreu Advogados has advised on in recent years. His experience includes advising on national and international transactions over a wide range of business areas and activities, from real estate to health, tourism, insurance, industry, retail, IT, and education, among others.

Additionally, he has extensive experience in advising on banking transactions, representing financial institutions and private investors in financing and refinancing projects, particularly in real estate finance and debt restructuring operations. He also has extensive experience in the negotiation of derivative instruments, specifically ISDA documentation and finance linked swaps.

Advising a French multinational company in the retail sector on the acquisition of a portfolio comprising two large shopping centers and a retail park in the Lisbon area.

Advising a North American multinational company on the acquisition of a national hospital network in the context of its privatization by the Portuguese State.

Advising a Sovereign Fund on the acquisition of a participation in two large shopping centers in the Lisbon metropolitan area, the creation of a joint venture for its management and the refinancing of the corresponding debt.

Advising on the acquisition of a Portuguese subsidiary of a French oil company by a Portuguese subsidiary of a Spanish oil company and the merger operation between the two entities.

Advising an international private investor on the acquisition of a portfolio comprising two hotels and two golf courses, held and managed by an international hotel chain. 

Advising one of the main healthcare providers in Portugal on the acquisition of two hospitals held by private investors.

Advising a Spanish fund management company on the sale of one of Portugal's largest retail parks.

Advising on a debt refinancing operation through loans granted by a bank syndicate to an international hotel chain.

Advising a financial institution on the funding of the acquisition of three landmark buildings in Lisbon's city center.
