Ricardo Henriques highlights that training on digitalization should be a priority in corporate strategy

Partner Ricardo Henriques highlighted that training and digital literacy are necessary, especially for management bodies, in order to comply with the new regulatory framework for the digital environment, such as NIS2, the AI Act, or the Cyber Resilience Act.

“There is a mosaic of new legislation covering the entire digital sector that companies need to be aware of. It is important to invest in training, not only for all employees, but also for management bodies. The legislation itself, namely the transposition of NIS2, places greater accountability on management bodies for compliance, and therefore this is also something companies should be concerned about,” said the co-coordinator of the Intellectual Property and Information Technology practice at the firm.

Ricardo Henriques spoke at the “Special Report – AI and Cybersecurity” conference, organized by Jornal Económico, which took place this Wednesday, 17 September, and underlined the importance of defining a strategy and risk profile, with the aim of analysing how companies can meet their obligations under these new regulations.

The event featured a presentation by António Gameiro Marques, former Director General of the National Security Office and the National Cybersecurity Center, and a panel composed of Miguel Almeida, General Manager of Cisco Portugal, Bruno Castro, CEO of Visionware, and Alexandre Fonseca, Chairman of the Strategic Council for the Digital Economy at CIP.
