The Intellectual Property and Information Technology practice of Abreu Advogados recently received a number of awards from the World Trademark Review 1000. The directory gave the “Gold Tier” distinction once again to the firm’s Intellectual Property practice with particular emphasis on the work developed in the area of trademarks, classifying five lawyers as “Silver Band” and awarding the status of “Luminaire” to the Of Counsel César Bessa Monteiro in what is an international recognition of a highly prestigious career.
In this year’s edition of WTR 1000, the partners Manuel Durães Rocha, António Andrade, Ricardo Henriques and César Bessa Monteiro, Jr. were awarded the Silver Band category and, for the first time, the senior associate Ana Panão received this too in recognition of the quality and excellence of her work. With these awards, Abreu Advogados joins the list of the 10 highlighted Portuguese law firms, being one of the most distinguished firms in this area.
In its eleventh edition, this year online, the WTR 1000 team highlighted the work and growth strategy pursued by Abreu Advogados with regard to this practice, that has been strengthened over time. The World Trademark Review 1000 research project now has 11 editions and is focused in identifying the major law firms and sole practitioners worldwide, covering more than 80 countries and US states.
