Abreu Advogados hosts event on digital sovereignty, cryptoassets and financial innovation

Abreu Advogados, in partnership with Layer2State, the Portuguese Family Business Association and 42 Portugal, is hosting “Digital Self-Sovereign State of Portugal”, taking place on 26 May, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the Abreu Advogados Auditorium in Lisbon.

At a time when digital sovereignty, cryptoassets, artificial intelligence and distributed governance models are becoming increasingly important for states, businesses and investors, this initiative aims to create a forum for reflection on the future of financial, technological and institutional infrastructure in Portugal and across Europe.

The event will bring together national and international speakers, including representatives from Abreu Advogados, Layer2State, CMVM, PwC, Edmond de Rothschild and the Portuguese Family Business Association, who will discuss the key challenges and opportunities associated with financial innovation, distributed governance and the digital economy.

The session will also explore the impact of new technologies on the transformation of economic and institutional models, while discussing Portugal’s role in developing sovereign, secure digital solutions that are equipped to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving global market.
