Ricardo Branco is an Of Counsel and has been at Abreu Advogados since 2015, working primarily in the areas of Public and Environmental Law, specifically in applied Constitutional Law, General Administrative Law, Administrative Disputes, Waste Law, Urban Planning Law, Natural Resources and Energy Law.
He carries out his activity by drafting legal opinions in the referred areas, as well as supporting the drafting of legislation and regulations, and representing clients before administrative courts and the constitutional court, where his experience as a Constitutional Law Professor since 2002, as well as, since 2017, of Administrative Litigation Law, Water and Waste Law, Natural Resources and Renewable Energy Law and Urban Planning Law, namely at the graduate, master and PhD levels in Law, is determinant.
He also has vast experience in supporting the design of legislative and regulatory instruments for the Governments of several Portuguese Speaking African Countries.
Prior to joining Abreu Advogados, he provided legal advice on legislative procedures and general Constitutional Law to successive Secretaries of State of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers as well as to the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education and the Deputy Minister of Regional Development of different Portuguese Governments.
