Patrícia Perestrelo is a Professional Partner and has been at Abreu Advogados since 2007, working primarily in the area of Employment Law. Patrícia is the Co-Head of the Employment Law team and works with Private Clients & Family Businesses.

Experienced in matters related to acquisitions, sale, transfer of undertaking and corporate restructuring operations involving employment law issues, Patrícia has participated in several due diligence processes.

Patrícia has intervened and assisted multinational companies in relation to equity awards. She has extensive practical experience on matters relating to labour pre-litigation and litigation.

Additionally, Patrícia has extensive experience in advising companies in the healthcare sector on employment law and has been involved in some of the largest multinational group restructuring projects taking place in Portugal.

Advising a multinational company in the healthcare sector on human resources matters, including advising on procedure regarding a number of acquisitions undertaken by the group.

Advising a multinational company in the hospitality sector on matters relating to human resources.

Advising a multinational group in the food industry on the transfer of employees to another company, and providing day to day support on employment matters, including legal proceedings.

Advising a major multinational company in the aviation sector on the acquisition and privatisation of all group companies.

Advising on the privatisation of a national company in the distribution sector.

Advising multinational companies in relation to equity awards.

Advising a multinational telecommunications company on organisational restructuring.

Advising multinational companies when winding up or closing their branches or subsidiaries in Portugal, and carrying out the appropriate procedures to terminate employment contracts.

Advising in proceedings relating to the displacement of employees.
