Gonçalo Delicado is a Professional Partner working with clients from Portugal and around the world, mainly in restructuring and insolvency in Portugal, as well as in corporate litigation, civil litigation and business recovery proceedings, and labour law in Portugal and abroad.

He advises and consults with clients on corporate and group restructuring and insolvency exercises throughout the negotiation and operational restructuring phases and negotiates and drafts contracts. He has considerable experience in transactions in the banking, financial, real estate and energy sectors.
In the area of litigation, he has been involved in legal proceedings related to corporate restructuring, debt recovery, and various issues involving civil, corporate and transport law, having advised clients in all stages of the proceedings.

He also has extensive experience in labour law in Portugal, and advises clients when hiring employees, on human resources management, disciplinary procedure and labour litigation. He participates in human resources restructuring processes, employment termination cases, job redundancies and disciplinary procedures.
He is also involved in transactions and operations in Mozambique, advising and providing support by networking with lawyers participating in Abreu Advogados’ international network.

Advising a banking institution in Portugal on the restructuring of several loans totalling roughly EUR 600 million requiring the creation of an investment fund and executing a number of operations within the corporate sphere.

Advising a banking institution on the restructuring of loans and the sale of assets, requiring negotiations and the formal transfer of the assets in question.

Advising on processes involving the revitalisation of a group of companies in the transport and warehousing sector.

Advising several real estate investment funds on the sale of assets, debt restructuring and filing claims.

Advising a major graphic design company on the process of restructuring in Portugal.

Advising one of the largest international video game companies in legal proceedings related to the termination of a distribution contract.

Advising a client who owned two commercial units on obtaining funds to expand its business activity; negotiating financing contracts and drawing up the required guarantees.

Advising a not-for-profit organisation on human resources restructuring, providing support on various disciplinary procedures such as the termination of contracts signed by previous executive committees.

Advising a company in the aviation sector on a dispute resolution related to the breach of a lease agreement.
