Luís Barreto Xavier moderates the conference “TrIAl – Artificial Intelligence in the Courts”
Luís Barreto Xavier, consultant at Abreu Advogados and Director of the Knowledge Institute, will act as moderator at the conference “TrIAl – Artificial Intelligence in the Courts”, an initiative organised by the Lisbon Court of Appeal in partnership with the Research Center for the Future of Law of the Faculty of Law, Universidade Católica Portuguesa. The event will take place on 16 October, starting at 09:30, in the Main Hall of the Lisbon Court of Appeal.
Among other topics, the conference will address key issues such as the scope of application of Artificial Intelligence in the legal field, the social impact of AI, and the role of judges in this new context. The discussion will also cover the responsibilities arising from the use of Artificial Intelligence in law.
