Marco da Cunha Moreira is an associate and has been at Abreu Advogados since 2023, working primarily on Tax law matters.

He is particularly involved in drafting and reviewing real estate contracts, ensuring compliance with local laws, and actively participating in due diligence for risk assessment in complex real estate transactions.

He also has experience in analysing documents prepared in the context of real estate transactions, such as purchase and sale agreements, leases and financing agreements, as well as in drafting and registering deeds, mortgages and other legal documents related to real estate property.

He also advises commercial companies and groups of companies on commercial and corporate law matters, including the incorporation of companies, the purchase and sale of shares, shareholders’ agreements, mergers, demergers, restructuring and corporate transformations.

He also monitors day-to-day corporate operations, particularly those relating to the governing bodies of commercial companies, as well as the conclusion of contracts and participation in due diligence operations.

  • Participation in negotiations and the execution of preliminary sale agreements, sale agreements and lease agreements, at various stages, representing the position of the (promising) seller, the (promising) buyer, the landlord or the tenant;

  • Participation in negotiations and the conclusion of contracts for the sale of shares held in private companies or public limited companies;

  • Advice on the assessment of the tax impacts arising from the conclusion of transactions involving real estate and/or shares in commercial companies;

  • Day-to-day management of contingencies arising from lease agreements, namely reporting claims to insurance companies, contracting general services and establishing contacts with real estate brokers;

  • Day-to-day management of commercial companies, including participation in general meetings of shareholders and management and preparation of the necessary documentation for this purpose;

  • Monitoring of legal proceedings on a wide range of real estate, corporate and tax matters;

  • Advice to private clients on nationality acquisition procedures.
