Manuel Santiago is a senior associate and has been at Abreu Advogados since 2020, working primarily in Real Estate.
He has particular expertise in advising national and international investors, as well as private clients, at all stages of real estate investment projects. His experience covers acquisitions and sales of assets (both asset deals and share deals), leasing, the establishment of property rights, and the development of residential, senior living and student housing projects.
He acts across the full real estate investment lifecycle, from the legal structuring and design of transactions to the conduct of due diligence and the execution of acquisition, sale or leasing operations, including the implementation of projects on rural properties.
Experience

Advising companies and individuals on contractual matters, particularly in overseeing the negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, reservation agreements, and operating and use agreements;

Advising on the management of shopping centers;

Advising real estate developers on the development of projects for housing, senior living, and student housing;

Advising clients on short-term rentals and tourist developments, including analysis of the legal framework and support for the contracting and operation of units;

Advising clients on matters related to rural properties and rural leases;

Advising on real estate compliance, including verification of the legal compliance of transactions and assets;

Advising on the contracting and execution of private construction projects, including the analysis, negotiation, and review of construction contracts and monitoring of issues arising from the execution of the work.
