In the article, which focuses on the increase in litigation associated with delays in the renewal and granting of residence permits for investment purposes, Raquel Brito confirms that, based on Abreu Advogados’ experience, “renewal processes for golden visa residence permits are experiencing significant delays, which extend over several months”.

The lawyer also highlights the constraints associated with AIMA’s new online platform, created with the aim of speeding up the processing of applications. According to Raquel Brito, “the launch of the new platform appears to have taken place without ensuring the necessary stability for a process which, by its nature, requires a high degree of reliability”.
