Iberian Lawyer names Inês Sequeira Mendes as one of the best lawyers in Portugal in 2025

Iberian Lawyer has once again highlighted the excellence of the Portuguese legal sector with the publication of its annual ranking of the 20 best lawyers in Portugal, in which Inês Sequeira Mendes, Managing Partner at Abreu Advogados, makes another appearance, this time securing second place.

This distinction results from an assessment based on four key criteria – career trajectory, leadership, popularity and professional achievements – which evaluate the impact and performance of professionals over the past year.

According to the ranking, Inês Sequeira Mendes stands out for her “strategic, innovative and bold vision” in leading Abreu Advogados. Over the past four years at the helm of the firm, the Managing Partner has guided Abreu Advogados through a period of strong growth and digital transformation. Under her leadership, the firm reached a turnover of €51 million in 2024 and was recognised by the Financial Times as the 5th most innovative law firm in Europe.

Among the main strategic initiatives led by Inês Sequeira Mendes are the collaboration with Microsoft for the implementation of Copilot for Microsoft 365 across the organisation, and the partnership with Legora, which introduces collaborative artificial intelligence solutions into legal workflows.
