Tiago Antunes is a Legal Executive and has been at Abreu Advogados since 2022, his practice in Registration and Notary services encompasses the whole Firm, with a particular focus on Real Estate and Corporate Law.

He is particularly experienced in the area of real estate, as a Certifying Entity of Private Authenticated Documents (DPA), land regularization, demarcation of rural properties on BUPI platform, real estate structuring operations, donations, inheritances, horizontal property and property taxes.

He frequently participates in corporate matters related to the incorporation, transformation, merger and dissolution of companies, approval of annual reports, appointment of governing bodies, amendments to the articles of association, including capital increases or reductions, as well as corporate transactions that include unification, division and transfer of shares, as well as participation in Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) declarations.

Also has experience in setting up and managing condominiums, residential urban leases and acts related to vehicle registration, powers of attorney, debt confessions, divisions and other common notarial acts, as well as authenticating private documents by videoconference via the Institute of Registry and Notary’s on the PAD platform.

Has extensive experience in matters relating to real estate transactions, advising real estate brokerage and investment companies as well as private individuals, participating in the entire negotiation, and all the legal assistance formalities.

Experience

Advising a multinational company in the property sector, under a franchising regime, on setting up an in-house legal department to manage processes and support hiring. He also took part in the expansion project to open new customer service centers, negotiating the terms of the lease agreements.

Advising a religious organization on the process of acquiring a property to set up its place of worship in Portugal and supporting the other formalities associated with the purchase and sale.
