Bárbara Quintas Soares is a Senior Associate Lawyer and has been at Abreu Advogados since 2019, working primarily on real estate.

She focuses on matters related to real estate transactions, due diligences, incorporation and operation of special real estate investment vehicles, including advisory in real estate investment strategies in legal and planning frameworks. She is also used to assist companies and individuals on contractual matters, including monitoring the negotiation of promissory purchase and sale agreements, reservation agreements and management agreements.

She has experience in urban lease issues, through advising clients on different matters, including preparing and monitoring contractual negotiations, issues related to the transition to NRAU, also including monitoring extra-judicial or judicial procedure. Work Experience

Advising a multinational group of the real estate sector on the purchase of plots of land for construction, for further development. Her services included the legal due diligence concerning the assets, the incorporation of special real estate investment vehicles and the preparation of shareholders’ agreements, legal and planning frameworks, all reviews and negotiation for completion of all needed contracts and all documents considered relevant in the scope of the operation.

Advising a multinational company in the real estate sector on the acquisition of a New Zealand company and its real estate assets, which included a Resort Development submitted to the time-sharing regime. Her services included the complete legal and financial due diligence.

Advising international companies, Portuguese companies and individuals in urban lease matters. Her advices included the legal due diligence to the lease agreements, the preparation and negotiation of lease agreements for non-residential and residential purposes, preparation and monitoring the communications for the transition of lease agreements to NRAU, monitoring eviction proceedings.

Advising Portuguese companies in the real estate sector on the incorporation of companies for Local Accommodation purposes, registration of the companies in the respective public entities, including the preparation of all contractual regulatory documents.
