Pedro Barosa: “The act of seeking help is no longer a sign of weakness”

Following a survey on the health and well-being of lawyers in Portugal, which concluded that there is a “marked lack of balance between working time and personal life”, Pedro Barosa published the article “The Price to Pay” in the Boletim da Ordem dos Advogados (the Portuguese Bar Association Bulletin).

The Abreu Advogados partner describes a fast-paced and demanding professional culture in which rest, exercise and sleep are often neglected. Pedro Barosa warns that it is essential to continue promoting self-care and emphasises: “the social taboo has dissipated, and the act of seeking help is no longer a sign of weakness.”
