Diogo Pereira Duarte and Luís Barreto Xavier to speak at the “Law and Technology Congress”
Diogo Pereira Duarte and Luís Barreto Xavier will be speakers at the first edition of the “Law and Technology Congress”, organised by Almedina, taking place on 5 and 6 June at the Altis Grand Hotel in Lisbon.
On the first day of the event, Luís Barreto Xavier will speak on “Defining an Artificial Intelligence System” as part of the panel on the “Artificial Intelligence Regulation”. On the second day, Diogo Pereira Duarte will address “Rules on Cryptoasset Service Providers” in the panel on the “Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation”.
This congress will bring together legal and technology experts to discuss the main recent developments in this field, both from a legislative and regulatory perspective. At a time when emerging technologies are having a significant impact on contemporary society, it is essential to respond in a way that promotes their potential while mitigating associated risks.
