André Alfar Rodrigues is an Of Counsel at Abreu Advogados since 2024, working mainly in financial law.

He is particularly involved in financial supervision and regulation, including authorisation processes for regulated entities with the supervisory authorities, as well as consultancy in the areas of capital markets.

He also has experience in private equity and venture capital, particularly in the creation of start-ups, the setting up of venture capital funds, the setting up of investment vehicles and the preparation of investment rounds.

At management companies of collective investment organisations and venture capital companies, he has developed experience in designing and implementing compliance and ESG policies to ensure conformity with legal and regulatory standards, as well as monitoring internal audits and investigations.

He has also specialised in the areas of Sustainable Financing, Sustainable Investing and Data Privacy and Technology.

Advising an international company on the acquisition of a sports limited company in Portugal, including preparation of a takeover bid and corporate restructuring;

Advice on private equity and venture capital operations;

Advice on all aspects of credit institution internal governance, from corporate governance (including conducting fit and proper assessment processes), selection and assessment policies (fit and proper), remuneration policies, conflict of interest policies, outsourcing policies, codes of conduct, auditing regulations, within the framework of national and European regulatory requirements;
