Mafalda Teixeira de Abreu is a Professional Partner at Abreu since 2018, co-coordinating the Projects and Structured Finance sector, working mainly on the public law side of national and international projects, investment contracts and public procurement and administrative litigation matters.
She has been involved in the areas of infrastructure projects and structured finance, in the regulatory and public law areas, advising on the structuring of public-private partnerships and concession contracts in Portugal, Mozambique and East Timor, in collaboration with Abreu International Legal Solutions. She has participated in several privatization processes of strategic Portuguese companies and has also supervised the setting up of public-private partnerships in the areas of health, transportation and social housing.
She has also assisted clients in connection with investment contracts and financial incentives under EU funds.
In the area of public procurement, she has been leading domestic and foreign clients in major tenders launched in Portugal, and has extensive experience in public procurement litigation before the administrative courts.
From 2007 to 2008 she worked as a Foreign Lawyer with the London law firm, Clyde & Co.
