Rafael Silva Teopisto

Rafael Silva Teopisto is an associate lawyer at Abreu Advogados, where he has been since 2025, having completed his traineeship and served as an associate from 2022 to 2024. His primary areas of focus include financial Law, with a special emphasis on financing and M&A transactions, securities transactions, the banking sector, and fintech.

He is particularly involved in regulatory matters, including authorisation processes for regulated entities before supervisory bodies, as well as advising on matters related to banking services and products, financial intermediation services, payment services, credit intermediation, and fit-and-proper procedures.

He also has experience in civil law, insolvency, and corporate restructuring.

In 2022, he worked on secondment at a banking institution.

Between 2024 and 2025, he served as legal advisor to the Minister for Territorial Cohesion and to the Secretary of State for Local Administration and Land Planning in the XXIV Government of the Portuguese Republic.
