Margarida Castillo Silva is an Associate at Abreu Advogados since 2022, working mainly in intellectual property, privacy, electronic communications, internet and information technologies, advertising and consumer law.

She has particular intervention in the resolution of disputes before the courts, in matters of copyright and private industrial property rights, namely trademarks, designs or models and patents.

She advises companies in various sectors on the licensing of private industrial property rights and copyrights and on the implementation of advertising contests and competitions.

She has also provided support and advice in the pre-litigation phase in relation to exclusive industrial property rights.

Advice on administrative and judicial proceedings related to industrial property, to companies, national and foreign, in the automotive, fashion, environment, pharmaceutical, wine and restaurant sectors;

Advising on e-commerce and privacy issues in the launching of websites and web-based services and compliance requirements;

Advising various international suppliers on their integration in the Portuguese market, negotiating distribution, agency and franchising contracts;

Advising companies in the entertainment (audiovisual) sector on the implementation of national and foreign film projects and productions;

Collaborating in the prevention and/or resolution of disputes on Intellectual Property and Information Technology, specifically in copyright disputes, licensing of intellectual property and technology, data protection and other regulatory issues.
