Inês Sequeira Mendes foresees risks and opportunities for the legal profession in 2025

In an interview with ECO, Abreu Advogados’ managing partner Inês Sequeira Mendes highlights the factors set to shape the national and global economy in 2025, particularly sustainability and the energy transition.

The leader of the firm also predicts a year of growth for the legal profession, despite the current climate of uncertainty and conflict.

“Uncertainty has not hindered the sector’s growth or its ability to maintain close relationships with clients and partners. Beyond the unavoidable issue of military conflicts on Europe’s doorstep and the highly likely ‘trade war’ between blocs, the legal profession has proven its ability to navigate instability and adapt to new ways of working that align more closely with technological transformation,” she says.
