Support measures for the adaptation of venues in compliance with the COVID-19 measures:
Whom is it intended for?
Private legal entities headquartered in Portugal that carry out non-profit activities and own or are responsible for the management of cultural facilities, namely theaters, cinema theaters and cultural auditoriums.
Private foundations or public foundations under private law, entities that have benefited from other support measures or incentives intended to assist with the adaptation of economic activity (eg. the ADAPTAR program) and entities that own or are responsible for the management of cinema theaters and similar premises, given that they will no longer be eligible for that support.
What is the available amount?
The amount available is 750,000.00 euros, limited to a maximum amount of 2,000 euros allocated per applicant.
Until when can the support be requested?
Interested parties must submit their applications in the period between 10 August and 4 September 2020.
Support measures for professional and artistic entities:
Whom is it intended for?
Entities deemed eligible by the assessment committee and who do not benefit under the DGARTES 2020-2021 sustained support program.
However, beneficiaries of the DGARTES sustained support program will still be eligible for this support.
What is the available amount?
The available amount totals 3,000,000.00 euros.
However, the allocation requirements are more complex: in the case of entities deemed eligible by the assessment committee, support is granted to all applicants subject to a distinction, according to whether or not they are responsible for managing or programming (in the first case, they are entitled to 35% of the annual amount they would be entitled to receive and, in the second case, to 25%). In the case of entities benefiting from the DGARTES sustained support program, support is granted according to the order in which applications are submitted up until the maximum available limit is reached, with each applicant eligible to receive the maximum amount corresponding to 50% of the documented losses suffered, capped at 7 500.00 euros.

As with the previous support, interested parties must submit their applications in the period between 10 August and 4 September 2020.
Support measures for artists, authors, technicians and other cultural professionals:
Whom is it intended for?
Individual taxpayers that are cultural professionals registered with the Tax Authorities under one of the main activities covered by the Ordinance.
Individuals who are self-employed who have applied for or received one of the extraordinary support measures under Decree-Law no. 10-A / 2020 may also request this support.
What is the available amount?
A maximum value of 3 x 438.81 euros is available, in the case of self-employed workers who have benefited from extraordinary support, they will suffer a discount corresponding to the amount received in the months of April and May 2020.
Until when can the support be requested?
The submission of applications under this support measure takes place between August 3 and September 4, 2020.
