Main Sanctions

1. Russian companies will only be able to pay their debts to creditors from the list of “Unfriendly Countries ” in roubles and under special rules
2. Export bans on more than 200 products until the end of 2022, including electrical equipment, medical and agricultural products and timber
3. Russian entities are prohibited from lending money to foreign entities from any country, and in any foreign currency
4. Ban on funds transferring from Russian entities and citizens to their accounts outside Russia, in any foreign currency
5. Restrictions on transactions involving shares of Russian companies and Russian real estate, and on the repurchase of shares in Russian public companies
6. Ban on “transfer payments” of Russian securities to foreign entities and citizens
7. Block on interest payments to foreign investors on Russian State bonds

In addition to these measures, already officially announced by the Russian government, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak also spoke about the possibility of Russia closing the main gas pipeline to Germany, NordStream 1. So far this threat has not been materialized.
