Maria Eduarda Fernandes is an associate and has been with Abreu Advogados since 2023, actively working in the area of Corporate, Commercial and M&A Law.

Throughout her career, she has accompanied corporate reorganisation and restructuring processes and M&A operations, with particular involvement in matters relating to the incorporation, acquisition, and merger of companies.

In this context, she has actively participated in due diligence processes, combining experience in analysing, negotiating, and preparing the legal and contractual documentation underlying such corporate operations.

She also has experience in the judicial and extrajudicial monitoring of disputes arising from the commercial activity of the companies she advises, namely in contractual matters, as well as corporate disputes, particularly regarding company resolutions.

Experience

Currently advising companies on corporate law and M&A, including the incorporation, acquisition, merger and dissolution of commercial companies in Portugal;

Advising on the internal restructuring of various Portuguese companies;

Advising companies on the negotiation and drafting of various contracts, in particular commercial contracts;

Advising companies of different sizes on commercial and corporate litigation.
