Luís Zau has been an Of-Counsel at Abreus Advogados since 2021, working mainly in the registration of foreign private investment projects and corporate, tax and industrial property structuring operations with a focus on Angola.

He focuses on matters relating to incorporation, acquisitions, mergers, splits, transformations and dissolution of commercial companies. He has been led several registration processes of foreign private investment, commercial and industrial licensing, debt collection, trademark registration. He assists a small some groups of liberal professionals, in corporate and tax matters, ensuring the rendering and management of accounts with the tax authority.

He also has some experience in administrative and labour law, having participated in some public contracting processes, public-private partnerships and labour processes in disciplinary matters.

Experience

Advising several multinational companies in the process to incorporate local representations and related companies, namely: commercial companies, branches, subsidiaries and representative offices.

Advising several multinational companies in corporate structuring and M&A operations, including drafting of SPV, and exploration contracts.

Advising local companies in the health sector on matters related to their incorporation, corporate changes and obtaining licenses.

Advising several companies, including the oil sector, in debt collection processes.

Assistance several companies, in private investment registration processes, incorporation of the investment vehicle company, obtaining industrial and commercial licenses, registration of trademarks, obtaining work and investor visas, including advice on tax implications matters associated to the investment.
