José Eduardo Martins is the new Order of Engineers’ Ombudsman
José Eduardo Martins takes office today as ombudsman of the Portuguese Order of Engineers. The Abreu Advogados partner will be sworn in at a ceremony at the Order’s national headquarters in Lisbon.
The lawyer works primarily in the areas of Environmental, Commercial, and Real Estate Law and is one of the most vastly experienced Portuguese lawyers in the areas of environment, energy and natural resources.
José Eduardo Martins’ main focus of practice is Public Law, in matters related to industrial and environmental licensing, electricity production, emission and transaction of carbon permits, environmental asset accounting, water management and waste management.
More recently, in 2021, he was appointed President of the Environment and Energy Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce Portugal (ICC Portugal).
