Abreu Advogados Knowledge Institute announces the 5th edition of the Abreu Advogados Award, one of the most prestigious national competitions dedicated to research and innovation relevant to the practice of law.
The recognised biannual competition aims to stimulate the development of high quality research work, in new legal areas or with a markedly innovative character. The winner receives the sum of €7,500, and the work will be proposed for publication by Edições Almedina.
The competition is intended for law graduates of Portuguese nationality or from Portuguese-speaking countries, but is open to researchers of other nationalities who are connected to a Portuguese university or research centre.
The 2021 edition will continue what is already one of the most recognised law awards in Portugal, promoting knowledge and fostering innovation. A jury composed of Abreu Advogados’ team members, university professors, judges from higher courts and other jurists of recognised merit will choose the winning work.
The Abreu Advogados Award promotes the articulation between legal science and the practice of law, being one of the main hallmarks of the work developed since 2012 by Abreu Advogados Knowledge Institute.
Applications will be accepted until August 30.
