Miguel Luís José joined Abreu Advogados in 2020 and has been an associate since 2022, working mainly in the areas of commercial and corporate Law.

He is particularly involved in matters relating to the incorporation and implementation of commercial companies in Portugal, advising on day-to-day corporate matters and complex corporate transactions such as acquisitions, mergers and divisions.

He has also been involved in several investment operations in Mozambique providing commercial, corporate and financial advice.

For 4 months in 2021, he worked as a secondment in an international supermarket chain advising on legal disciplinary matters.

He has also assisted in matters related to immigration law, such as obtaining visas, residence permits and acquisition of nationality and other related matters.

He also has extensive international experience, having held various positions in international lawyers’ organisations, including the Presidency of the Special Group of Young Lawyers of the Portuguese-speaking Lawyers Federation.

He is particularly involved in matters relating to the incorporation and implementation of commercial companies in Portugal, advising on day-to-day corporate matters and complex corporate transactions such as acquisitions, mergers and divisions.

Advising credit institutions and financial companies on authorisation procedures with the Mozambican supervisory authorities.

Participation in a due diligence process for the acquisition of a company in the Mozambican mining sector.

Advising various international private clients on Portuguese immigration policy.

Advising private clients on transfer of residence to Portugal and investment in Portugal.

Advising several multinational companies on the transfer of employees and other related matters.
