Imisi Almeida is a Trainee Lawyer and has been at Abreu Advogados since 2025. During his traineeship programme he will work in the area of Corporate and M&A.

He has been particularly involved in setting up companies and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), as well as legal advice and management of organisations.

He also has experience in advising on human rights and migration cases in jurisdictions such as South Africa, Brazil and the United States of America.

He has been a member of the Angolan Bar Association since 2021, having gained extensive experience in criminal and civil litigation in the Angolan context.

He is also a member of the Portuguese Institute of Corporate Governance (IPCG).

Experiência

Advising a regional African human rights organisation on defending violations of the rights of sexual minorities in Angola;

Advising a North American law firm on migration law;

Advising the management of a German law organisation on cultural cooperation with the Angolan state;

Advising on the incorporation of companies and Non-Governmental Organisations in Angola;

Consultancy on environmental projects implemented by NGOs;

Advising families on Angolan and Portuguese nationality processes;

Advice on disciplinary proceedings for international organisations.
