Francisco Estácio is a senior associate lawyer and has been at Abreu Advogados since 2023, working mainly in the areas of corporate, commercial and M&A law.

He is particularly experienced in advising on corporate matters, in particular on the acquisition, merger, demerger and restructuring of companies and assets, as well as on day-to-day corporate and commercial advisory matters.

He has extensive experience in national and international M&A transactions in various sectors.

His practice has been developed essentially in the energy, utilities, technology, banking and insurance sectors, among others.

Experience

Advising a British investment fund on the purchase of hotel assets in Portugal;

Advising a major property developer on its EUR 30 million investment in a leading construction and metalworking company;

Advising on the sale of an Angolan bank to a pan-African financial institution;

Advising a financial institution on the entry of an investor into its capital and on the conclusion of an insurance distribution contract;

Advising on the incorporation of the Portuguese branch of an Italian listed bank specialising in factoring operations and providing day-to-day corporate and regulatory advice;

Regulatory advice to a multinational company in the payment services sector on the launch of new products.
