José Maria Alves Pereira is a Senior Associate Lawyer and has been at Abreu Advogados since 2017 working mainly in the areas of data privacy and data protection, e-commerce, consumer law, media, advertising, information technology and the internet.

He has extensive practical experience in the areas of e-commerce, consumer law, media, advertising, information technology and the internet, on matters such as compliance projects regarding growing technologies, software development agreements, e-commerce platforms, cybersecurity issues, and providing advice with regard to advertising activities (online and offline).

He also has extensive practical experience on matters relating to data protection, in particular advising clients within the full implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation, assessing the level of compliance of new challenging projects, as well as providing on-going advice.

José also has experience in the preparation of due diligence in the area of ​​industrial property, data protection and information technologies for a wide range of companies.
