Assunção Vassalo is an Associate Lawyer and has been at Abreu Advogados since 2017 having begun her internship as a Trainee Lawyer in 2015. She works primarily on the corporate and financial aspects of business restructuring operations.

She has solid practical experience on matters relating to company incorporation, mergers, acquisitions and spin-offs, public distribution and supply tenders, and investment funds. She has worked on many insurance-related cases too.

She has experience in advising Clients in the health, financial and real estate (shopping centres) investment sectors.

Advising a private healthcare group on the acquisition of another private healthcare group, having previously advised the group while analysing financial and insurance agreements within the context of a due diligence.

Advising an international bank on the changing of its registered office and analysing the many implications such a process would have in Portugal.

Advising a multinational real estate group on the acquisition of shopping centres, having previously advised the group while analysing guarantees within the context of a due diligence.

Advising an international bank on the acquisition of another international bank in Portugal, having previously advised the client while analysing various agreements within the context of a due diligence.
