Valentim is an Associate Lawyer and has been at Abreu Advogados since 2017. He works in all aspects of litigation, but primarily in areas dealing with civil law, executive law and insolvency law.

He regularly works on litigation cases between companies, or between companies and individuals, particularly when in regards to non-compliance with loan agreements (investment loans, mortgages, personal loans), and has also been involved in various civil, executive and insolvency proceedings

He has gained experience, during legal proceedings and through providing assistance on securing injunctions in matters relating to non-compliance with financial leasing contracts.

He also works in the field of sports law, particularly as regards employment contracts for people in sports and in labour law, with a special focus on the drafting of employment contracts and termination of employment contracts, as well as in the drafting of opinions in the field of industrial relations.

Expérience

Advising and counselling clients on various pre-litiginous and litiginous phases of cases, particularly in the areas of civil law, executive law, labour law, banking law and insolvency law.

Advising a company in the banking and financial sector before and during the entire legal proceedings, including securing of injunctions and declarative and executive actions.

Negotiating various legal and paralegal agreements involving debt restructuring for various companies in financial difficulty.

Providing labour consultancy to a key insurance company, focusing primarily on drafting employment contracts and various opinions relating to corporate restructuring and its impact on employees; participating in disciplinary proceedings and drafting agreements cancelling employment contracts due to the termination of jobs.

Advising an insolvency administration company on various insolvency and business recovery cases in Portugal.

Advising a football club on internal restructuring, with special focus on sports law and labour law; drafting various sports employment contracts; participating in a special business revitalization process; drafting of rental agreements and leases in respect of commercial establishments.
