Raquel Barroso

Raquel Barroso has been at Abreu Advogados since 2017, working mainly on Public Law, in the areas of General Administrative Law, Environment and Water Resources, Criminal Law and Regulatory Offenses Law.

In the field of Public Law, Raquel Barroso focus on matters related to environmental, industrial and commercial licensing procedures, waste management operations and soil decontamination, use of water resources, environmental impact assessment, climate change and emissions trading, environmental liability, noise and atmospheric emissions.

Internationally, has been assisting Portuguese cooperation projects in the design and conception of legislative instruments and regulations for governments of Portuguese-speaking African countries.

In the field of Criminal and Regulatory Offenses Law, she has advised on environmental compliance and regulatory offenses, administrative phase and litigation phase, as well as in sponsoring criminal proceedings of natural persons and in the field of criminal protection of legal persons and environmental crimes.
