Diogo Adegas dos Santos is an associate at Abreu Advogados since 2021, working mainly in the areas of corporate, commercial and M&A, having previously developed his work in the areas of credit recovery and insolvency.

He is particularly involved in advising commercial companies and groups of companies on matters of commercial and corporate law, including the incorporation of companies, the purchase and sale of shareholdings, shareholders’ agreements, mergers, de-mergers, restructuring and company conversions.

He also assists clients in day-to-day corporate matters, in particular, in relation to the governing bodies of commercial companies, as well as in the execution of contracts and participation in due diligence operations.

Previously he was particularly involved in credit management and recovery in the areas of banking, health, insurance and real estate, while also developing a general litigation practice.

Advising a multinational company in the footwear industrial sector in connection with a project to expand its production facilities to the Portuguese market

Advising on the incorporation and implementation of commercial companies in Portugal

Advising companies in multiple operations, including purchase and sale of shareholdings, shareholders' agreements, mergers, de-mergers, restructuring and company transformations, as well as assisting in day-to-day corporate matters

Advising and legal representation of banking institutions on debt recovery from mortgage and consumer loans

Credit management and recovery in the health, insurance and real estate sectors

Representation of private and corporate clients in lawsuits and administrative infraction proceedings, among other legal matters

Secondment in hospital (under a public-private partnership scheme) providing legal advice, namely drafting contracts and other legal documents, regarding suppliers and service providers
