Catarina Mata is an associate and has been at Abreu Advogados since 2022, working mainly in Employment Law matters.

She is particularly involved in labor and human resources matters with national and multinational companies in various industries. She has experience in labor relations issues, in the drafting and termination of employment contracts, working conditions, collective bargaining, relations with workers’ representative structures and pre-labor litigation.

She has participated in various disciplinary proceedings, with particular reference to disciplinary proceedings for dismissal with just cause, in companies from various industries.

She has also handled collective dismissal and redundancy procedures.

She is a member of the German Desk, assisting several German companies in their operations in Portugal.

Advising companies on matters relating to employment law by advising on the legal and conventional provisions in this area;

Advising companies on employment and disciplinary matters;

Drafting employment contracts, addenda and other employment support documents;

Advising on various procedures and litigation processes related to Social Security, the Authority for Working Conditions and the Commission for Equality in Labor and Employment;

Assisting German national and international clients working in the German market.
