Francisco Rodeia Gomes is a Trainee Lawyer and has been with Abreu Advogados since 2019. During his traineeship programme he will work in different areas of Law.

During his bachelor studies, he completed two internships in a law firm, where he became generally acquainted with the daily practice of a law firm, the internal procedures and the discussion of specific cases.

After concluding his bachelor studies and having already concluded the first part of his master studies, he worked as a tax consultant between 2017 and 2019.

As a tax consultant working on the personal income tax area, Francisco provided daily tax assistance to multinationals, expatriates and private clients regarding their tax compliance before the tax authorities.

Additionally, Francisco also rendered services related with Social Security and Immigration obligations, namely with the gathering of the respective documentation, meeting at the competent services’ offices and branches and following up on the processes.

Tax assistance to multinationals and their expatriates on the tax implications arising from the assignments to Portugal/abroad.

Rendering services related to the multinationals’ and their expatriates’ obligations in terms of Social Security, namely the registration of foreign entities and their employees.

Daily and specific tax assistance to private clients related to personal tax income and other taxes, when applicable.

Registration under specific tax regimes, namely the non-habitual tax residents regime and its implications.

Immigration services to private clients and expatriates departing/arriving from/to Portugal, including the gathering of the relevant documentation and accompanying the clients to the foreign services’ offices.
