Ana Luísa Ferreira is an Associated Partner and has been at Abreu Advogados since 2014, working mainly in urban planning and administrative litigation matters.

She is co-coordinator of the Urban & Regional Planning sector, where she has extensive experience in advising multinational companies and investment funds in licensing procedures for urban operations (commercial, private health units and private education establishments), having been involved in many of the most relevant projects and transactions advised by Abreu Advogados in recent years.

She also has a solid experience in the construction sector, in the monitoring of investment projects, including the undertaking of urban due diligences for the acquisition or disposal of assets, including the analysis of existing Land Management Instruments (IGT) and of the public utility easements and restrictions on those assets, as well as a solid experience in administrative litigation.

Experience

Advising a French multinational company in the retail sector on the acquisition of two large shopping centres in Portugal, as well as a retail park in the Greater Lisbon area, including legal due diligence of the assets, as well as review of the contracts included in the perimeter of the transaction;

Legal advice to a private educational institution in the context of a complex land development operation in progress, including legal advice on several contracts related to the project;

Advising a German multinational company in the retail sector, including the preparation of several legal opinions on land use planning and urban planning issues, in particular in the context of urban licensing procedures for various commercial establishments of the company in Portugal;

Legal advice to a major health services group in Portugal on the acquisition of two hospitals, held by private investors, on matters relating to the licensing of private health units;

Advising a local municipality in various disputes with concessionary company in the water sector;

Legal advice to a joint venture in various matters relating to the preparation and approval of a Land Use Plan for an island in the territory of Timor-Leste;

Advising a leading European logistics-industrial real estate developer in the development of a project in the logistics area, particularly in matters of land use planning and in the scope of the licensing procedure for the construction of a logistics park, including support to the development of the project and monitoring of the administrative procedures;

Legal advice to a multinational health group on various regulatory issues and procedures before the health regulatory authority;

Advising a property investment fund manager on the sale of one of Portugal's major retail parks;

Legal advice to a multinational company in the sale of a large private educational institution in Portugal;

Advising a multinational company, world leader in the renewable energy sector, in particular in public utility expropriation procedures.
