Despite the fundamental changes in working life over the last decades – more flexible work, the end of the nine-to-five schedule and rapid technological evolution, the decrease in productivity and the happiness of workers is a major challenge for all organisations. For this reason, Abreu Advogados defined Mental Health as the main theme for the 2021 global Sustainability programme.
Legal Up is the programme defined for the sustainability area at Abreu Advogados, and every year a theme is defined with the purpose of promoting the debate on structural causes for the organisation’s sustainable development.
By defining Mental Health as the global Sustainability programme for 2021, Abreu Advogados intends to promote public debate on the topic and contribute to a more inclusive society, reducing the stigma associated with mental problems. Throughout the year, the law firm will develop a set of internal and external initiatives, with a special focus on the following topics: the protection of people with mental illness; Mental Health in organisations; the impact of digital technology on mental health; and the importance of culture in the promotion of mental health.
