Abreu Advogados advises on Innoliva’s Iberian expansion

Abreu Advogados has been selected to advise Innoliva on the company’s expansion project in the Iberian peninsula.

Martim Menezes, Abreu Advogados partner, heads up a team from the firm that will advise the company in Portugal, as part of a team that also includes the lawyers Tiago Leote Cravo, associated partner, and the professional partners Marta Romano de Castro and Simão de Sant’Ana.

Owned by the London-based private equity and investment firm ADM Capital Europe, Innoliva holds some of the principal national olive grove operations. The business was founded in Spain in 2006 and is recognised as one of the pioneers in the intensive production of olive oil, with 5,000 hectares of olive groves in the Iberian peninsula, most of which are in Portugal, generating an annual production of up to 10,0000 tons of extra virgin olive oil.

Abreu will act jointly with the law firm ONTIER, which coordinates this business’ activity in Spain.

In the legal advice already provided to Innoliva, Abreu highlights its support on real estate, corporate and agricultural transactions.

Abreu Advogados has significant experience advising on projects in the agribusiness sector, having an interdisciplinary team dedicated to companies in the sector. Also in the area of olive oil, the law firm currently advises other companies with major investments in Portugal.
