Marta Romano de Castro is a Partner and has been at Abreu Advogados since 2001 working primarily in business structuring and restructuring operations for companies as they relate to corporate and financial law.

She focuses particularly on matters related with acquisitions, mergers, demergers and transfer of assets or exchange of shares and private equity operations.

She also works on different types of investment operations in Angola and Mozambique, providing corporate assistance and by networking with lawyers from Abreu International Legal Solutions in those countries.

Additionally she has extensive experience in advising on transactions in the insurance, private equity, health, retail and financial sectors and has participated in some of the most relevant restructuring operations of multinational groups which have taken place in Portugal.

Advising one of the largest Portuguese insurance companies in their implementation in the Angolan and Mozambican markets;

Advising a venture capital firm on their entry in a number of companies’ registered capital in Portugal;

Advising a Brazilian group on the preparation of an important investment in the agri-food sector in Angola;

Advising and Angolan bank on their entry into Portugal through the acquisition of a Portuguese Bank;

Advising a French Multinational group in the securities market on their entry into Portugal through the full acquisition of a company in the same sector;

Advising a French client working in online retail on his entry into Portugal through the full acquisition of the registered capital of a company in the same line of business;

Advising on the internal restructuring of multinational companies.
